She was born September 7, 1939 at Bellefonte, PA to the late William and Elizabeth (Lauer) Cunningham.  She served 5 years as a Portage County Senior Companion Volunteer.

Survivors include her sons, Gerald (Julie) Ellsworth, Jr. of Ravenna, Joseph (Kathie) Ellsworth of Deerfield, Timothy (Mary) of Atwater, and daughter, Theresa Kiser of Rootstown, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and brother, Robert Cunningham of South Carolina, sisters Nancy of Pennsylvania and Patricia of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Boehmer in 2006, and her brother, John "Jack" Cunningham  in 1933.

A memorial service was held on July 22, 2009 at King of Glory Church in Streetsboro.
