Janet was born July 16, 1962 to William and Dorothy Hurst in Monongahela, PA. Beloved sister to James Siesky (Mary),Richard Hurst (Rebecca) and Karen Shelpman  She is survived by her loving husband Gary Turney and her three children Brian Shetter (Jennifer Vlahos), Jennifer Shetter (Damien Black) and Sarah Turney (Robert Netting). She was also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Cody, Connor, Kayla, Robert, Chloe, Christopher, Coldun, Kennedy and Cayden, which she adored. 

In her free time, she enjoyed yard saling and flea marketing with her husband always hoping to find an old piece of Fenton to add to her collection or even a new flamingo yard ornament.

Janet passionately cared for her mother for over 24 years, not out of obligation but because that’s who she was. She regularly brought meals to her elder neighbor and always made sure her kids and grandkids went home with anything they needed plus more.

Viewing will be held at Paul Henney Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 5570 Library Rd, Bethel Park, PA 15102, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 5-8pm. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 22, 2023, at 1pm. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
