Guest: Chris Valentovich CommentsRichard, As always I enjoy seeing updates on the site. I was looking in "More Lemont" and noticed you listed "Jack" Gates' publication "In Other Years". Jack passed away in late summer of this year. Furtunately, being the historian and writer-not to mention photographer that he was, Jack left his knowledge of the local community as his legacy for all who are interested in the history of Fayette County. I found another book on the history of Fayette County in May. It details a scandalous affair in the late 1930's of which the reverberations are still felt today. E-mail to follow.

Today is actually a really special occasion because I'm watching it drizzle coolly for only the second time in a year. What a treat the smell is! Despite what people have said, there are a plethora of jobs to be had - finding the right fit is the challenge. Does anyone remember Dean Pierce "the nicest boy in Lemont" playing Evil Kenivel on his motorcycle? By the way he was stopped by the State Police a few times and he never got license plates for the bike. Trouble seemed to follow Dean and Ambrose everywhere they went. Last they knew, the motorcycle was in Zink's Garage on Main Street in Uniontown.

Aunt Ronnee Howdy Everyone, Visiting my son David and his wife Marschia in Delaware. I was suprised to see how many of our friends from Lemont have reached you. Frank "Salty" Phillips is here with us and I know that he can spin a few yarns about life in Lemont. He was born in beautiful downtown Lemont at Hawks Crossing across the road from Prahs.
